Hi, I’m Julia

Julia Shapiro is a licensed acupuncturist with a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine focusing on addressing physical and emotional health conditions through compassionate, nourishing, and meticulous care.

Julia’s approach to patient care is grounded in the art of listening—meeting people, their minds, energies and bodies in the moment. Her empathetic approach fosters a safe space for each individual’s healing journey as they work together towards recovering the body, addressing not only the physical manifestations of ailments or illness, but the emotional toll as well. As someone routinely frustrated with inattentive practitioners and sterile, cold medical environments, Julia understands that the experience of treatment can be as vital as the medicinal treatment itself.

Julia is a graduate of Pacific College of Health and Science and is on track to receive her Doctorate this winter. She earned her 200hr trained yoga instructor certification, interned at Columbia University, Yinova Center and participated at the Integrative Healthcare Symposium in NYC.
Whether you’re looking to address physical pain, chronic and acute injuries, digestive issues, reproductive health issues, deeply-rooted trauma, or the stress of an ordinary day (or in today's world, a not-so ordinary day), Julia will collaborate with you on a holistic plan to address your individualized needs.

She is also very into dogs and has to say hi to every one of them on the street and must know the name of your dog if you have one. You've been warned.
